Imagery

DefinitionImagery is the use of bright description, usually rich in sensory words, to create pictures, or images, in the reader's mind.

ExampleLet us go then, you and I,
When the evening is spread out against the sky
Like a patient etherised upon a table;
Let us go, through certain half-deserted streets,
The muttering retreats
Of restless nights in one-night cheap hotels
And sawdust restaurants with oyster-shells

Significance: Imagery is really important to learn,
because when you think of an one poem,
 you can easily think of many pictures in your mind.
It can develop your creativity and can think deeply.
